Elemental

The search for simple life moments is often fleeting
Trying to find a quiet space with spiral notebook
A park, coffee shop or corner is a warm greeting
Attempt to blend in without attracting second look

Liquid companion choices of water, coffee or tea
While seeking solace in a gazebo or emerald glade
The expanse can be a majestic type setting to see
Or a mirror desire to reach one piece of shade

Pencil or pen, paintbrush or shaded markers bold
Highlight this new story of artist's inner mind eye
Endeavor to follow path of dreamy tales to be told
Success not always evident, but the aim is to try

The quest for simple things can be realized in time
Imagination has no boundaries with step or in leap
Even with goals set there is momentary end chime
But for now, pure invention embraces essential sleep
